Manning the 50 caliber and facing us is Spec 4 Robert Haile. After all, one never knew when the patrons at the “Gasthaus In The Woods” would finish their bier und wurst and attack. If you follow the gun barrel directly into the woods for a quarter mile or so that wonderful little oasis would appear. “Click Here” to view this charming place.

The GI laying down improving his mind is James Norris, however and so far, I can't make out the others from the back.

But there's hope, they say your mind and memory improves with age...! At least I think that's how it goes... and of course, I can't remember who “THEY” are...!

Just above the cable spools is the Sections Inner Perimeter Security Guard Schack. There was a personnel gate entrance, as well as the main gate for vehicle access.

Just past the guard shack around and up the hill was Alpha Section. To the near right one can see the Revetment and Generator Shed of Bravo Section, and in the distance one can see the Missile Hanger of Charlie Section.

The members doing the planting are a pair of our MP's assigned to the Guard Section, Greg Olewenski on the left and Lance Loo on the right.

The cables behind them follow the high berm around to the left on up to Alpha Section, and connect to LCT to the section.

The Beading Club meets on Webnesday, and the Macrame Class meets on Fridays.

This garden is being planted directly behind the Inner Perimeter Guard Shack that one can see in the photo just above this one.

We had a great baseball field, with many great games to be enjoyed. The area just to the left is where the Battery Group Picture was taken,.

Bravo Section's missile hanger is seen behind the berm, and one of the guard towers is to the very right of the photo.

The GI in the foreground is Ray Thompson, and I would be willing to bet big money that the GI behind him is Teddy Howell. And the very last GI in the back on the right side, he's a bit out of focus, but he looks like Bob Norkol to me. What'ta you think...?

Also, the GI on the far right of the photo sure is a close resemblance to Marvin Buchmiller, but I could be wrong.

These guys seem to be of good cheer. Maybe they're getting ready to ship out to Kleingartach and start partying...!

Hans reports that Nike missile on the launcher (Open House) was taken at the Karlsruhe Army Air Field. As he states, “I am sure about that, since the booster tail fin still shows the old 552nd AAA Bn crest”.
